Icing for Sugar Cookies

Below is the recipe I used to make the icing for bridal shower sugar cookies.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

  • 2-4 teaspoons milk

  • 2 teaspoons light corn syrup

  • 1/4 teaspoon of  vanilla extract (or any other type of extract you prefer)

  • food coloring

  • Directions:
    1. Stir the sugar and milk together until its smooth. Next beat in the corn syrup and extract you would like to use.
**You will most likely have to adjust the milk and corn syrup depending on how you want the consistency of the icing to come out**
    2. Add the food coloring. You can divide the icing into different bowls if adding more than one food coloring.
    3. Next your ready to decorate, I used a paint brush to decorate the cookies *Reminder don't use a brush that was used for paint* You can pipe thicker icing to make design and borders.
