Yay for Royal Icing

I'm happy to say that I finally learned how to make and use royal icing! Its so much fun and easier to use with cookies than fondant. Don't get me wrong the fondant I use will still be used again eventually, but it was always a pain since you had to make it let it set, roll it out, and cut it to the cookie shape. (Lots of work) Now all I do with the royal icing is prepare it and place into bowls for coloring. Pipe the outline of the cookie with the icing, then thin the icing out with water so you can flood the cookie's inside. So much easier and faster since my sister usually helped me since fondant was a longer process and had trouble piping pretty designs with the tip and cookie icing we used (I always had it run off since I squeezed to hard haha) now I mastered "squeezing" and can do this all my own, but will have her learn to so it's a faster process. I tested it for my halloween cookies I'm making for my nephew's bake sale at his school. These are only my testers and for the first time me doing it I have to say not bad. No disasters where they're could of been one!
