Communion Cookies

So last weekend, my sister and I made a little over 100 cookies for our cousin's communion. It took some time, but they came out great. To make the cookies we used the cookie dough recipe that I've used many times before and that is posted on the site a few posts back. We bought a cookie cutter shaped as a cross from the Wilton store online. That site had pretty much everything from boxes, to sugars, to whatever you can pretty much think, you should check it out http://www.wilton.com/
While the cookies were baking I made marshmallow fondant and colored the fondant in shades of blue. We used the Wilton gel paste and used the colors Sky Blue, Royal Blue, and Teal. We also kept some of the fondant white. I then rolled the fondant out and cut them into the same cross shape. Once the cookies came out I used a painted brush and covered the top of the cookie with light corn syrup (which acted as a glue) and placed the fondant shape over the cookie. Once it was dry we piped designs onto the cookie with cookie icing. This was our end result
